Lunar Eclipse July, 2011

I managed to catch the whole thing by a complete accident. I got into a fight with my dad and went to the roof to try and stay out of his way. I had my camera and tripod with me as I knew about the eclipse and thought it was gonna happen two hours later. As I was sitting there and listening to music, I thought I would just take a few pictures of the moon so that I would have my settings figured out for when the eclipse started. 10 minutes later I realized it just had xD To top it all, the night was super windy and there was not a cloud in the sky. NONE. Perfect for me <3
It was phenomenal watching the whole thing. The gradual encroachment of the Earth's shadow was breathtaking in itself. I was taking the photographs with a shutterspeed of 1/100 so I didn't notice the slow tinge of red that was creeping across it's surface. After the moon was completely eclipsed, I looked up and OMG THE MOON WAS RED O:
